Celebrating 20+ years at Cherokee Middle School! I love kids, plants, and animals. I grew up in Chicago but headed south with a BA in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. Once I landed in the mountains of NC, I earned a teaching certificate from Mars Hill University and Brevard College. Next I attended UNC-C for Academically and Intellectually Gifted certification k12. My biggest adventure has been raising twin boys who are now in high school. Talents include: Soccer mom, animals, flower gardens, hiking, travel adventures and thrift stores.
