About your Teacher
I would like to welcome this year’s 6th graders to middle school math. I am looking forward to getting acquainted with each student and their families. I view education as a team sport comprised of the administration, students, families, support staff and myself. I feel confident that this will be a great school year and each student will reach the goals we set together as a team. I have high expectations for every student in my class. I believe the administration and support staff have a great program in place to help each of us be successful.
A quick introduction, I am a recent graduate of Western Carolina University. I have worked in a local school system in one aspect or another for several years. Previously I was an office manager of a construction business and owner of a property management company. My husband of 29 years and I live in the Nantahala community where we raised our three sons. It is my heart’s desire to be the best educator I can for the children I serve. I need and welcome an active line of communication with each student’s support system.
